The gites at Lamont Gites were converted from a former barn in the summer of 2009.

Each gite can accommodate up to 6 guests.

The dining table seats 4 but can extend to seat 6 (two extra chairs available in the gite). The sofa converts into a proper sprung double bed with sheets/pillows/quilt all stored within the sofa.

The fully-fitted American-style kitchen has a fridge, separate freezer, gas hob and electric oven (with rotating roaster).

It is equipped with toaster, microwave, kettle, washing machine and all the plates, pots, glasses, cutlery etc you would ever need for up to 6 persons.

There are two bedrooms. The twin room has two single beds and a double wardrobe.

Dual aspect windows look onto the deck and across the garden towards the lakes.

All doors and fittings at Lamont Gites are suitable for wheelchair access.

Cots and highchairs are available on request free of charge.

The double bedroom has ample storage for even the most extravagant of travellers, with a triple wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

Each of the luxuriously tiled bathrooms contains a vanity unit, heated towel rail and a 'downpour' shower cubicle.

Please note: All bedding and towels are provided.

The living room features a flat-screen tv with 'free-to-view' UK TV channels available via satellite.

A DVD player, as well as a CD and iPod docking station, are all provided.

French windows allow direct access onto the sun deck.

On the large sun deck are table and chairs for outdoor dining as well as sun loungers for sunbathing, reading and relaxing.

A barbecue is available on the terrace below the deck, which is where you will find the plunge pool - ideal for keeping cool in the heat of a Charente summer.

The extensive grounds at Lamont Gites feature two large lakes.

Woodland footpaths are there to be discovered and offer the possibility of a quiet stroll around the lakes in the shade of the mature trees amongst wild flowers.

The grounds and lakes are a natural habitat for a wide variety of wildlife.

Garden games are available for guests as well as a selection of mountain bikes for the more energetic.
